There were contractors for everything. And sadly, often these contractors would
work alongside Army personnel who were trained to do the exact same thing, but paid
about 1/3rd as much.

United For Peace And Justice ( National )

This is the mega org for most anti-war groups. They advocate an immediate withdrawal of the troops from Iraq.
United for Peace and Justice is a coalition of more than 800 local and national groups throughout the United States who have joined together to oppose our government's policy of permanent warfare and empire-building.
We welcome the participation of any and all national, regional and local groups who share our goals and wish to work with others.

Operation Truth ( NY, DC )

A progressive friendly veteran's group. They amplify the voices of the troops.
Operation Truth is a non-profit 501c(4), non-partisan veterans' organization that seeks to amplify the soldiers' voice in the American public dialogue. Paul Rieckhoff, a First Lieutenant in the Army Reserves, founded Operation Truth in June 2004, only months after he returned from a year-long tour in Iraq. As of January 2005, Operation Truth represents well over 300 OEF/OIF veterans, and has over 26,000 supporters.
